Dr. Mitcheff

Clifford A. Mitcheff, DO


Clifford A. Mitcheff, DO serves as our Medical Director for First Health Care. He graduated from St. Xavier University, BS Biology and from Midwestern University, Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his Family Practice Residency at Hinsdale Hospital in Illinois. He serves family practice patients, performing employment/DOT physicals for employers and taking care of urgent care needs.

 

 

 

 

 
Dr. Erwin

W. Robert Erwin, MD


W. Robert Erwin, MD is an Indiana native, and graduated from Indiana University School of Medicine, specializing in Family Medicine. He began practicing in LaPorte, Indiana, first in private practice and later in the LaPorte Clinic. Dr. Erwin has been practicing medicine in Bloomington since 1991. He first joined First Health Care Group in May, 1999 working part-time. In January, 2008 Dr. Erwin joined FHC full-time.
 

 

 

 

 

Dr. Donald G. Smith, Jr. MD


Dr. Smith received his MD at Texas Tech University. His Family Practice Residency program was at University of Texas Medical School, Houston.  He is BoardCertified by the American Board of Family Medicine since 1991.  Most recently Dr. Smith has worked at Parkview Medical Group in Columbia City, IN.  Along with providing health care services with First Health Care, He is the Director of Medical Missions and Stewardship with the Evangelistic Faith Missions in Bedford, IN.

 

 

 

 

Dr. Isabel

Isabel Vernaza, FNP


Isabel Vernaza, NP has over 15 years of experience as a nurse practitioner and Professor of Nursing. Vernaza received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in Bogota, Columbia and her Master in Health Science at McMaster University in Hamilton, Canada. She has worked in outpatient clinics at The University of Texas and has practiced in the area of Women’s Health at Planned Parenthood. Vernaza has an extensive background in multicultural nursing, has pursued her career in four countries, and speaks three languages - English, Spanish and French. She currently serves on the board of the Mujeres en Coneccion, an organization that promotes and orients Hispanic women within the community.
